AMMA CEMENT SUPPLY SCHEME
Supply of Cement to the public at a concessional price of Rs.200 per bag was started on 21.01.2008 by the Govt. of Tamil Nadu (G.O. Ms. No 3, Industries (MID.2) Department, dated 14.01.2008) and it was implemented by TNCSC.
Later Amma Cement Supply Scheme has been introduced (G.O.Ms. No. 188 Industries (MID.2) Department dated 11.12.2014) and TANCEM is acting as a nodal agency for implementing the scheme.
Cement is being procured from 7 private cement manufacturers (Dalmia, Ramco, Chettinad, India Cement, Ultratech, Zuari and ACC) for distribution to public.
Originally Cement was sold at a concessional price of Rs.190 per bag and that has been revised to Rs.216/- per bag inclusive of tax vide G.O.(Ms).No.261 Industries (M.I.D. 2) Department dated 11.12.2020.
The Scheme is implemented through 501 godowns which belongs to RD &PR department, TNCSC & Tamil Nadu Corporation for Development of Women(TNCDW).

The Scheme is applicable for:
- Construction of new house: Maximum 750 bags @ 50 bags per 100 sq.ft subject to a maximum of 1500 sq.ft.
- Repair & maintenance: 10 bags Minimum 100 bags Maximum earlier. Now the maximum is 25 bags w.e.f 05.01.2021.
- The Scheme is limited to persons whose annual income is less than Rs.3 lakhs. However, this limitation is not applicable to the beneficiaries of Chief Minister’s Solar Powered Green House Scheme & Prime Minister Awas Yojana (Grameen & Urban).
TANCEM has introduced a Highly Integrated Supply Chain Management System from 21.07.2017 to make this Scheme online.
TANCEM also introduced V collect system since August 2019 for online payment (NEFT transfer through Indian Bank) in lieu of DD payment
